Growing up in Richmond, Mary has an extended knowledge of the Greater Richmond area. She attended Douglas S. Freeman High School and went on to receive her Bachelors of Science from VCU. Prior to Mary joining the family real estate business she worked as a counselor for a Region Ten in the Charlottesville school system working with high school students and their families as a part of the alcohol and substance abuse counseling program. Mary later started working for a specialty middle school as an educator of Children with Special Needs serving the surrounding school systems.

Mary joined her father at Hob Sigmon Realty in 1996 and obtained her Broker’s license in 1999.She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Richmond Association of Realtors; having previously served as member of the Professional Standards Committee in 2017 and the Grievance Committee from 2008-2016 (Chairman- 2012) for the RAR.

Mary also serves as the Treasurer of the Battlefield Green Homeowners Association, the Parsons Row Homeowners Association, and the Paxton Square Unit Owners Association, all located in the Metro Richmond area.

In addition to managing and selling real estate, Mary also owns & manages several Residential and Commercial properties in the Richmond, VA area.
